We had found a hotel that would allow us to bring Brutus too, so we had to check in and get him set. Leaving our dog in a hotel room by himself for 8 hours was a little nerve racking, but he did great.
We got in line about 4 for the Winter Jam concert that started at 7 and doors opened at 6. It was a cold and windy. Chad went and got Wendy's for us.
We inhaled it quickly and several of the kids said they were still hungry. It never ceases to amaze me how much our family eats! The time went by quickly, but it certainly was cold! The line was crazy; we had never seen a Winter Jam line so long. We figured Toby Mac had really brought out the people.
They opened the doors a little early, and we were inside by 6. I took Josh & we headed to the upper deck, Chad took everyone else to the floor to see if he could find seats there. The floor was packed so we ended up in the upper deck. There really is not a bad seat in the place as long as you are not behind the stage. :)
Most everyone did great with the concert. But I knew we were in trouble when before the concert had even started, we were just listening to the pre-concert and Joshua turned to me and said, "Mom, are we gonna be leaving soon?" But even with that he sat well. He was not really into it, but he was a good boy. Everyone else loved the Concert (s). Chad & My favorite part of the night was when Newsong & the lead guy from Sidewalk Prophets sang "Arise, My Love". It was so very powerful. The girls loved Jamie Grace. (The only girl on the tour) Red was very interesting. He was screaming/singing, but had amazing pyro displays!

Matthew West was my artist of the night. He was so real and funny, and I loved looking down the aisle and seeing Faith worshiping as he sang.
Toby Mac had a great show, almost as much as energy as he had back with DC Talk 18 years ago. :)
During Toby Mac Hope fell asleep and Joshua turned to me and asked if he could sit on my lap. He had never asked to sit on my lap before. So for the remainder of the concert I sat with a 7 year old boy on my lap. I sat there smiling and marveling at how my life had changed since I had last seen Toby. God is good!
We went back to the hotel, and crashed. It was about midnight.
