We have been healthy this week! Can a get an Hallelujah?!?! After 13 days of sickness it has left the house! Three of us were spared any illness (myself included) but the other 5 all had something.
Tuesday night was Faith's night to make dinner. (Kids Make Dinner night is supposed to be Monday, but we were off this week) She made Baked Chicken, Mashed potatoes, and frozen corn. It was delicious. Being the oldest she has the most cooking experience so my involvement was mostly on how much seasoning and milk to add to the potatoes. :)
David turned 13 on Wednesday. We now have two 13 year olds in the house. How did this happen? It was a good day. I went to his school, took brownies, and hung out for the school party. That night I fixed him Spaghetti and Meatballs. I made my Meatballs from scratch with my own recipe I made up. (Speaking of which I should really write that down before I forget!) We gave him a PS3. I felt it was over the top, but Chad insisted. David chipped in all his Christmas money to help us get it. He was very excited.
Thursday I worked hard all morning on the house so I could have an hour before I went to pick up kids so I could Scrapbook guilt free. I got a very cute page done about blueberry picking last summer with my parents and sister. This morning brought several inches of snow! So this afternoon after school was out I sent the children outside!
It has been such a relief to have sickness out of the house. It seems like everyone is less grumpy and there is more laughter in the air again.
Please pray a bit for Josh. He hates to play alone, and when the girls are playing Barbies and don't want company he is so whiny and becomes angry to deal with it. I am trying to encourage him that nobody wants to play with a whiner and a nice boy will be more likely to get played with, but I feel like I am repeating myself. The girls do play with him allot, but I don't think they should have to all the time. I have also tried getting him to play with David more. David is never his first choice for play, and I hope they can become better buds. Any ideas you have, I would welcome hearing them.
Well, I think I am running out of steam. I think I will take Brutus and go to bed. Good night!
