God has blessed our family more than we ever expected, and so much more than we deserve! He has given us 3 beautiful blond haired girls by birth and 2 more boys, and 1 more daughter through the blessing of adoption. So very, very blessed!

AFLAC

Last spring Faith was talking to Aunt Tracy and somehow it got onto the subject of ducks. Faith said that she  would love to own a duck. At the time we were living with my parents and a duck was out of the question. My parents were already graciously putting up with the 5 of us Green Originals, Brutus the Dog & Wolfie the Cat so no duck was to be had. I hoped Aunt Tracy would forget.

At Faith's Birthday in September Tracy tried to get a duck for Faith but Ducklings were out season, and the lead she had for a grown duck fell through. She promised she would get Faith a duck as her present. I hoped she would forget.

April 17th Aunt Tracy arrived at our house with a tiny duckling. Faith was over the moon excited.
We did not know if it was a male or female duck so Faith decided a unisex name was in order. After a bit of deliberation she decided on AFLAC. The little thing was so sweet. It snuggled up in Faith's arms and went to sleep.
Friday Chad built Aflac a play yard that is 5x5 that is in Faith's soon to be room. It was so funny to watch Alfac run around his new space. One thing I did not know about ducklings is that they are little poo-poo machines! He is doing his duty every 10 minutes or so! It makes for one messy play area!
Aflac also loves the water. Faith has given Aflac several baths. He loves splashing around. Sometimes he hops off his pillow in the water bowl in his play area. It is SO cute!

Another thing I did not know was that Ducklings grow VERY fast! I can not believe how much Aflac has grown in the 10 days we have had him. I think he is about double the size he was when he came.
Faith loves being a duck mommy! This is them on the one week anniversary of Aflac's gottcha day.
See how big Aflac is getting!
How could you not love this face? Just like every animal that enters my house I have fallen in love with Aflac. He is super cute, even if he is a loud chirpper.

So would you like a duck?

  2. AFLAC is VERY cute. :) Love it. ALthough the poo thing kind of makes me cringe. ;) I'm sure it's worth it.
